Hobart Bucks Party Tour — Whisky, Cider, Beer & Wine
A bespoke southern Tasmania bucks tour — venues, timing and the route all built around your crew. Whisky, cider, beer and wine, sober driver included.
What this tour actually is
A bespoke private-charter Hobart bucks party tour across the best of southern Tasmania — whisky distilleries, cider houses, breweries and cool-climate wineries — built around the buck, the crew and what you actually want to do with the day.
Every bucks tour is custom
The venues, the route, the timing, the pace, the lunch spot, the pranks — your call. The list of stops below is what most bucks crews end up doing, but every single bit of it is negotiable. If the buck rates Sullivans Cove over Lark, we’ll start there. If you want a 1pm start because the night before was big, we’ll start at 1pm. If you want to swap the wineries for an axe-throwing venue, done.
We send a planning email after you enquire, get the brief, and come back with a tailored itinerary and quote inside the same business day.
What stays the same on every tour
Three things, always:
- A sober driver and a private vehicle for the day — yours, not shared.
- No booking fees, no upsells. The price you’re quoted is the price you pay.
- Daves goes in front. Cellar doors, distilleries and pubs get advance notice that a crew is coming in. They pour generously, plate properly, and the people behind the bar are usually the people who made what’s in your glass.
What’s typically included
The price covers the vehicle, the driver, all tastings, all entry fees and a sit-down lunch at one of the producers. Dinner is on you (we’ll book it if you want a hand). Accommodation is on you. Hangovers are on you.
How to book
Email or phone with rough dates, group size and the buck’s first name. We’ll send a planning email and come back with an itinerary and a quote within the same business day.
The day, beat by beat
- Stop 01
Hobart pickup, on your schedule
We collect the crew from your accommodation whenever you want to start. Mid-morning is typical, but if you want a late start after a big night, that's the brief.
- Stop 02
A Tasmanian whisky distillery (your pick)
Lark, Sullivans Cove, Shene Estate, Hellyers Road or one of the smaller award-winning Hobart-area distilleries. Tell us who the buck rates and we'll book it.
- Stop 03
Cider at Willie Smith's, Huon Valley
The Willie Smith's apple shed — organic Tasmanian cider with a side of Huon Valley apple history. Optional, but most crews keep it in.
- Stop 04
Coal Valley or Huon Valley wineries
One or two cellar doors in Tasmania's cool-climate wine country. Pinot, riesling, sparkling. Skip if the crew isn't into wine — this is your day.
- Stop 05
Long lunch at a working producer
We'll book a sit-down lunch at a winery, distillery or pub of your choosing. Plated for the group, paired drinks, no rush.
- Stop 06
A Hobart brewery, pub or extra stop
A Tasmanian beer at a local brewery tap, a stop at the casino, axe throwing, paintball, an alpaca farm — within reason, your call.
- Stop 07
Drop-off, wherever the night kicks on
Restaurant, cocktail bar or back to the accommodation. We'll get the crew there in one piece.

FAQ
Are these specific venues fixed?
No — they're recommendations only. Every Hobart bucks tour we run is custom-built. Tell us what the buck likes (and doesn't), what the crew is into, what time you want to start and finish, and we'll route accordingly. The venues above are popular picks, not a fixed itinerary.
How much does it cost?
From A$380 per buck for a group of 6 — that's the full day, all transport, all tastings, all entry fees and lunch. Bigger groups bring the per-head price down; we'll quote on enquiry.
Can we customise it?
Customisation is the entire product. Heavy on whisky, light on wine, big lunch, late finish, three stops instead of five, a paintball stop in the middle — all within scope. We send a planning email after you book and tailor the day around the crew's brief.
Can we drink while we drive?
Yes — the vehicle is licensed for in-transit drinks for charter passengers, so you can carry on between stops if you want. The driver, naturally, doesn't.
Do you do same-day pranks / surprise stops?
Yes. Tell the organiser what you want and we'll keep it from the buck. We've stopped at axe-throwing venues, escape rooms, paintball ranges, and on one occasion an alpaca farm. Within reason.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to four weeks for a Saturday in summer. Mid-week and winter are easier, often a fortnight is fine. If you're cutting it fine, phone us — we sometimes have last-minute capacity.
Staying in Hobart for longer?
A lot of guests pair the food tour with the pub tour or a meet-the-makers day. Weekday departures are quieter and just as good.
