Meet The Makers Hobart
A full day with the people who make Tasmania's food. Cheese caves, smokehouses, orchards and the occasional still.
What this tour actually is
A full-day, long-form trip to the Tasmanian producers behind the state’s reputation. Cheesemongers, smokers, orchards, distillers — usually four to five stops within an hour of Hobart, all chosen because the maker is there to host us.
This is the slow, deep version of the half-day food tour. Same idea — the producers do the talking — just stretched out across a working day, with a real meal at one of the venues.

FAQ
Where do you go exactly?
It varies — we rotate producers seasonally and only run them when the maker is on-site to host us. Confirmed itineraries are sent two weeks before departure.
Can you accommodate dietaries?
Vegetarian and gluten-free are usually fine with a few days' notice. Strict vegan and severe allergies — please contact us before booking.
Staying in Hobart for longer?
A lot of guests pair the food tour with the pub tour or a meet-the-makers day. Weekday departures are quieter and just as good.
